Here at Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind, we have trained visitors whom members can call upon for special assistance as and when it is required. Our visitors can help with tasks such as completing benefit forms, providing aids and resources, and checking that our members’ living environment are safe, secure and well equipped.
Working in partnership with the Eye Department and the Conquest Hospital in Hastings, Bexhill Hospital and the Low Vision Clinic gives us a wider understanding of your eye problems and a better knowledge of the equipment available to assist you.
Group meetings are held regularly to discuss issues affecting blind and partially sighted people. Problems are aired and members are supported through the exchange of experiences, shared ideas and knowledge.
